Dr. Purushottam Borkar (Principal)
Dr. Purushottam Borkar presently working as principal Matru Sewa Sangh institute of social work, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur. His field of interest is psychology. He was visiting faculty at department of management studies and research, Sardar Patel College, Chandrapur, further he worked as an associate NCC officer (Lieutenant) and worked as NAAC and IQAC coordinator. He is consulting psychologist and participated in Maharashtra vision document. Furthermore, he has submitted two research projects to UGC, carried out consultancy projects with various prestigious industries and Government agencies, Study grant awardee of ICSSR and published two Marathi books of psychology. He has many articles to his credit in National and international journals and conferences. He supervised one candidate for Ph.D., one patent have been registered and actively worked as chairman board of studies and academic council member of universities, his focus of work is on organisational behaviour, personality, meditation and yoga mindfulness, psychotherapy and counselling, spiritual psychology, his orcid ID 0000-0003-4999-0319 and vidwan ID is 2157 91.

Dr. Keshav Walke (Professor)
Associate Professor at the Institute since 2000. He was an IQAC Coordinator. He was additionally serving as Director, National Service Scheme at RTM Nagpur University, India. He is MSW in CCA & MPSW, MA in Sociology and PhD, NET. He is recognized PhD supervisor with RTM Nagpur University. He was Nodal Director Childline an emergency toll free national helpline service for Children in need of care and protection-1098. He is serving on different statutory bodies in the university and government committees and boards. He has successfully coordinated UGC-refresher courses, ICSSR Training Programmes. He has successfully completed UGC’s Minor and ICSSR’s Major research projects and was able to associate with different government/non-government agencies like NEERI, UNICEF, Government of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh etc as a Principal Investigator. He is associated with Professional bodies such as Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators, MASWE and National Association of Professional Social workers in India, NAPSWI as its Executive Member and has also served as India’s representative of the Asian Pacific Association of Social Work Education, APASWE. He has convened many national and international conferences. Presented research papers in national and international conferences and published papers in UGC listed and refereed journals. He has written 8 modules for UGC, E-PG Pathshala under paper Social Work with Children & Child Protection and Community Development. His areas of interest are child protection, displaced tribals, rural youth. He has received Best Teacher and Best NSS Programme Officer awards at University and State level. He is also the recipient of Maharashtra State “Best NSS Programme Coordinator Appreciation Certificate Award for 2019-20”. Presently he is engaged as Principal Investigator in TRI, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI sponsored major research on ST & Other Traditional Dwellers in Protected Areas: Study of Their Rights, Issues and Challenges. He has visited Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, London, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Nepal for participation in the conferences.

Dr. Jyoti Niswade (Professor)
Dr (Ms) Jyoti Niswade, Associate Professor at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work since 2000. Dr Niswade graduated with a B.Sc (Biochemistry) degree. Alumna of the Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, having done her Master’s Degree in Social Work with Merit rank from RTM Nagpur University and NET, from UGC, New Delhi. She has been awarded PhD and she is recognised PhD supervisor with RTM Nagpur University. She has started her career working with National Environmental Engineering Research Institute at Nagpur. Later, Dr Niswade joined the Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work in 2000. She functioned as the Co-ordinator of IQAC, NAAC during 2004-2009 and functioning as the Hon. Director of Family Counseliling Centre. Dr Niswade is closely associated with a few voluntary organizations. She is resource person at national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes and refresher courses conducted across the country. Therein she has presented research papers that are published in UGC listed and refereed journals. She has authored book titled “Widows in India: Social, Economic and Policy Implications” and Edited Book titled, “Karmayogini – Dr Satyabala Tayal”. Dr Niswade is the recipient of Best Research Paper Presentation Award at International Conference held in 2015 at Colombo, Sri Lanka and recipient of 2016 Outstanding Author Contribution Award by Emerald Literati Network for the chapter in book published by Emerald Books, US. She is also the Scholar Reviewer (Member of review committee) of SOSHUM: International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Published by Politeknik Negeri Bali, Indonesia. She is associated with professional bodies such as the Founder Member of World Centre for Womens’ Studies (WCWS) and member, Indian Association of Women’s Studies (IAWS). She functioned as the Expert member (Social analyst) of study group for Government of Maharashtra. Presently she is working on research project sponsored by Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.

Dr. Nandita Mane (Associate Professor)
An alumna of Hislop College, Nagpur, Dr. Nandita Mane completed her graduation in the faculty of Arts in 1998. She did her B.Ed (2000) and MA (English) (2001) from RTM Nagpur University. She has passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) in English conducted by the Maharashtra State (2002). She also did a Short Term Course on Literary Theories: Theories of Reading and Writing organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Dr. Mane pursued her doctoral thesis on A Study of Traditional and Innovative elements in the plays of Sir Alan Ayckbourn and was awarded the degree in 2015.

Dr. Mane joined the Institute in 2006. She is the course coordinator for Certificate Course in Communicative English at the MSSISW. She also looks after the activities of the Language Room of the Institute. She is an Examiner for Communication Skills and Personality Development of RTMNU’s Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension. She is associated with Shakespeare Society of Central India and Centre for Literary Interaction and Creativity (CLIC). She heads the field action project of the Institute called Community Action for Environment (CAFE).

Dr. Prince Ajaykumar T. Agashe (Librarian)
Appointed as Librarian in Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Nagpur (Maharashtra). He is a postgraduate in Botany and Library and Information Science. “Erdtmann Memorial Prize winner” for scoring the highest marks in M. Sc. Botany, Palynology Specialization. He has qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2007 and awarded Doctorate by RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur (2008) in Library and Information Science. He is in the profession for last 17 years, since 2003. He worked as Qualified Library Assistant (2009), Senior Lib. Asstt.(2007), & Junior Lib. Asstt.(2003) in RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. He also worked as contributory lecturer in Department of Library & Information Science; RTM Nagpur Uni. Nagpur and visiting faculty at NET/SET Remedial Coaching Classes RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur and Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work Nagpur. He worked as Member of Board of Studies in Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University Solpur (2011 – 2019). Ph. D. Supervisor in RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur and Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur. Awarded 7 students Ph. D. degree under his supervision. Completed one UGC Minor Research project. He has attended One month training programme at SAARC Documentation Center, New Delhi on Information Technology for Information Management (2010). Attended and published several papers in International and National Seminars, Conferences and Journals and has more than 85 papers to his credit. He has edited one book. He is Life member of ILA, IATLIS, SALIS and LISSA, RTMNU. Recipient of Best Employee Award by Matru Sewa Sangh Sitabuldi, Nagpur.

Dr. Amod Gurjar (Assistant Professor)
Dr. Amod Gurjar, Assistant Professor at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work since 2023. Dr Amod is alumna of the Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, having done his Certificate of Social Work ((CSW) with first Merit in University), Bachelor of Social Work ((BSW) with eighth Merit in University), Master in Social Work (MSW), & Short Term Course in Social Science Research Methods (STCSSRM) and Cleared NET June 2012 & June 2013, from UGC, New Delhi. He has been awarded PhD (Social Work). He has started her career working with Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work as Ad Hoc Faculty. Later Dr Amod joined as CHILDLINE City Coordinator in Nagpur CHILDLINE Nodal. Then after he joined in Tata institute of Social Sciences in School of Vocational Education in Child Care Vertical in Nagpur Hub as Programme Manager and then after Dr Amod joined as Assistant Professor in Wardha Samaj Karya Sansthan (Previously known as Mahatma Gandhi Fuji Guruji Center for Social Work) of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha (A Central University). Dr Amod is specialized in Research Methodology and having 11 years of teaching experience at various levels. Dr Amod was resource person at various research, SPSS & statistics workshops and faculty development programmes. Therein he has presented research papers at national and international academic events and papers published in UGC listed and refereed or peer reviewed journals. He has edited (As Associate Editor) book titled “Right to Education: A Reality Check”. Dr Amod is the recipient of “InSc Research Excellence Award”  2020. He also has completed Two Major and One Minor Research Projects and consulted various Research Projects. Three M. Phil. (Social Work) Research Scholars completed their research under his guidance. He is also Recognized as Reviewer of Indian Journal of Management and Social Studies of Institute of Scholar, Bangalore. He is also the associate editor of the Indian Journal of Social Work and Social Sciences. He is associated with professional body such as the MASWE.

Dr. Sandip Manohar Lanjewar (Assistant Professor)
Dr. Sandip Manohar Lanjewar, Assistant Professor at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work since 2023. He has done Master in Social Work (URTCD) in 2011, Completed Master of Philosophy (Social Work) in 2013, he also Cleared SET October 2019. He has been awarded PhD (Social Work). Additionally, he has also done Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). He was honoured as a District Youth Award of year 2011-12 by Nehru Yuva Kendra Ministry of Youth & Sports, Government of India. He has started his career working with Zilha Parishad Gadchiroli as Block Coordinator of Nirmal Bharat abhiyan. At the same time, he has worked as city correspondent at Dainik Bhaskar Hindi News Paper. Later Dr. Sandip joined as District Child Protection Officer Palghar DCPU. Then after he joined in Anugami Lokrajya Mahabhiyan (ANULOM) as a Upvibhag Jansevak. He also worked as Assistant Professor & Coordinator in Model Degree College, a constituent college of Gondwana University. Dr Sandip is specialized in Community Development and his area of interest is Child Protection and child Developments. He is having 17 years of Field experience. Because of this Field Experience Government of Maharashtra has Appointed him as Member of Child Welfare Committee (1st Bench of Judiciary Magistrate) for Gadchiroli. Dr. Sandip was resource person at various workshops, seminars and motivational programs.

Mr. Pavan Taterao Chavhan (Assistant Professor)
Mr. Pavan Taterao Chavhan, Assistant Professor at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work since 2023. Pavan Taterao chavhan is alumina of the Tirpude College of Social Work, Nagpur and have completed BSW in 2009 and MSW with Human Resource Management Specialization in 2011 from there. He also cleared SET 2016 in the subject of Social Work. Additionally he have completed LLB from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law Main Branch, Nagpur. He was also practicing Lawyer At Bombay High court. He Presented paper in international seminar and participated in many national and state level seminar and workshops organized by various institutions and his area of interest is Social Legislations and Human Resource Management.

Ms. Karuna Mahadeo Ade (Assistant Professor)
Ms. Karuna Mahadeo Ade, Assistant Professor at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, join since 2023. She is an alumna of Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities Amravati. Ms. Karuna Ade completed her graduation in faculty of arts in 2016. She also has completed MSW (URTCD) in 2018 and MA (Marathi) in 2020 from SGBAU, Amravati. She has cleared the SET (2022) and NET (2023) exam in the subject of Social Work and also clear SET (2021), NET with JRF (2022) in the subject of Marathi with fourth merit rank from SGBAU Amravati. She also did short term course diploma in library & information science (2023) from kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, Nagpur. Ms Karuna is awarded the University Color in football representing Amravati University team in the ALL INDIA inter University tournament & she has participated in other sports as well . Before joining the institute she was teaching in Department of Humanities of VMV College (Autonomous), Amravati. She also worked as Member of Board of Studies in Department of Marathi, Govt. Vidarbha institute of science and Humanities, Amravati. She has participated in National seminars and Conference. Her area of interest is working with tribal and rural communities.

Amen Xavier Kaushal
Amen Xavier Kaushal holds MSW degree from University of Pune and currently has submitted his PhD Thesis and is waiting for the Award from RTMNU, Maharashtra. He has cleared UGC NET. He received his Masters degree in Human Rights from University of Sussex, England with the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Programme. Apart from his main stream studies, he has also completed various diplomas and certificates in community mental health, clinical psychology, Addiction management, participatory research, ecology and environment. He is Guest Faculty at the Institution, teaching MSW and BSW students since 2014. Currently he holds the position of Research Associate for the project sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) at the Institution. Prior to his academic engagement he extensively worked for eight years with various civil society organizations in different capacities. His work experience includes accompanying grass root organization in movement building through right based approach, project planning, monitoring and evaluation, social impact assessment (SIA), process oriented capacity building and participatory research. Presently he is also an accredited Social Impact Assessment specialist extending his consultancy in the social Impact assessment field. Amen is committed towards integrating his field based experience in to social work education and promotes participatory learning processes among the students.

Dr. Payal Chamatkar
Dr Payal Chamatkar has done her BSW, MSW with specialisation in URTCD, MPhil in Social Work and PhD. She has cleared her UGC NET. She is an alumna of the Institute and working as a Contributory teacher since 2012. She has worked as Assistant Professor in Post Graduate Department for the session 2019-20. She has worked with various organizations in different capacities like coordinator, consulting social worker, project manager etc. She is legal professional Counsellor. She was awarded with Best Employee by the Matru Sewa Sangh for 2017-18. Dr Payal has Published Eleven Research Papers in refereed journals and articles at national level. Dr Payal was the Convener of Interdisciplinary International Seminar.

Mr. Baba Meshram
Mr. Baba Meshram is BSW, MSW (LWPM), MPhil in Social Work, MA in Pub. Admn. and Ambedkar Thoughts from RTM Nagpur University. He has cleared UGC-NET. He was associated with various Government and voluntary agencies like Zilla Parishad, Mayo/ Daga Hospital, MGNERGA (Block Samiti) in different capacities. He has joined MSSISW in 2019 as a Contributory Teacher.

Dr. Praneeta Premchand Sonekar
DR. PRANEETA PREMCHAND SONEKAR has done her BA, B.M.C and MA in Hindi, History and Pali Literature from Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. She has done her B.Ed from S.N.D.T, Women University, Mumbai. She has cleared UGC- NET with JRF and recently she has been awarded with Ph.D. in Hindi (2020) She has 10 year experience of teaching at degree colleges. She has participated in various conferences and published in Research paper National and International Journals.

Dr Jalda Dhoke
Dr Jalda Dhoke is BA, MA in Marathi and PhD in Marathi from Sant Gadge Baba Amaravati and MPhil from YCMOU, Nashik. She has cleared SET and UGC NET with JRF . She has more than 6 years teaching experience in different Institute and colleges in the city and joined MSSISW as a Contributory Tacher in Marathi in 2019. She has participated in various conferences and published in Research paper National and International Journals.

Mr. Rohit A Ujawane
Mr. Rohit A Ujawane is BA and MSW from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Done B Com from YCMOU, Nashik. He has cleared SET in Social Work. He has working experience in Hospitals. He is Guest faculty at the Institute since 2019. He took part in national and international seminar/conferences and published the paper also.

Mr. Anant G. Ghulakshe
Mr. Anant G. Ghulakshe, is B.A., B.J., LLB., M.F.A (Drama), B.Voc. (Acting), MBA (HR & Marketing), M.A. (Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy & English) and M.S.W. in Community Development from RTM Nagpur University. He has cleared SET in Social Work. He is having teaching experience more than 5 years and he is associated with MSSISW as Contributory Teacher Since 2019. He has worked with various organisations like Counsellor and Trainer. He published six books.

Dr. Amol Uttamrao Madame
Dr. Amol Uttamrao Madame has completed his M.S.W. from Department of Social Work, University of Delhi; M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has also cleared UGC-JRF examination in Social Work. He has worked as visiting assistant professor in Glocal University at Saharanpur (U.P.). He has also worked as contributory teacher at Shri. Narendra Tidke College, Ramtek. He has translated Nanak Chand Rattu's book 'Dr. Ambedkar: Important Messages, Sayings, Wit and Wisdom' in hindi. He has published two articles in referred journals. He has also presented many papers in national and international seminars and conferences.

Ms. Rakhi Jamkar
Social worker at heart Rakhi Jamkar has twelve years of experience in teaching. She is active member of some prominent social organisations and is involved in various activities run by these organisations. She is a good communicator and organiser. She has research aptitude leadership and team building skills. She has masters digree in social work ,and has done M.A. in sociology. She also conducts one act play mi jijau boltey of which more than 400 performances are staged till date.

A. Cell for Women in Distress (Family Counselling Centre)

Ms. Premlata Patil
Ms. Premlata Patil is working as a Counsellor since 2011. She is Master in Social Work. Before joining this Institute she has worked with Indian Institute of Youth Welfare, Jeevan Jyoti Shikshan Sanstha, Prevention and Control on HIV AIDS among non- brothel in rural project. Legal, GFATM (TISS) etc. She was Member of Women's Social Committee under the Social Security Wing of the Police Department (2015-18) and Member of Advisory Committee under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (2013-14). She is also Guest Faculty at Institute. She is the recipient of “Best Employee Award” from the Matru Seva Sangh.

Ms. Vaishali Jambhulkar
Ms. Vaishali Jambhulkar is working as Counsellor since 2018. Ms Vaishali is an alumna of the Institute and completed her MSW in 1997. Earlier she has worked as a District Co-ordinator in Polio Eradication Project at “Vishwodaya”, Wardha, as a counsellor in ‘Women and Families in Distress” and as a community organiser in Jalswaraj Project.

Ms. Smita Thawkar (Premkhede)
Ms. Smita Thawkar (Premkhede) is Post Graduate in Library and Information Science and Sociology from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. She has also secured Certificates in typing. She is working with the Institute since 2003, as an Library Assistant and Clerk in Family Counseling Center since 2015.

Ms. Shraddha A. Talloo
Ms. Shraddha A. Talloo, is Post Graduate in Social work (MSW) from Nagpur (RTMNU) University. She has done Master of Commerce (M. Com) and B.Ed. with specialisation in Commerce and Economics. Worked with Bhonsala Military School as economics teacher from 2012 to 2015, then join Dhanwate National College from 2016 to 2019 as a Assistance Professor in Economics on Ad-Hoc basis. She joined Matru Sea Sangh Institute of Social Work as a City Coordinator at Nagpur CHILDLINE – Nodal from January 2021.

Ms Aparna Deshpande (Head Clerk)
Ms Aparna Deshpande (Head Clerk) A Post Graduate in Commerce from the RTM Nagpur University. She has also done MS CIT, MS Office and Certificate Course in Computer Operations. She also has secured certificates in English, Hindi, and Marathi typing. She is currently working as a Head clerk in this Institute since 1998.

Mr. Sandeep Manohar Kothar (Sr. Clerk) He has joined this Institute in 2003 as a Office Assistant and currently working as a Junior Clerk since 2013 He is B.Com, MSW from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.
