Associate Professor at the Institute since 2000 is also holding the charge as Officiating Principal. He was an IQAC Coordinator. He was additionally serving as Director, National Service Scheme at RTM Nagpur University, India. He is MSW in CCA & MPSW, MA in Sociology and PhD, NET. He is recognized PhD supervisor with RTM Nagpur University. He was Nodal Director Childline an emergency toll free national helpline service for Children in need of care and protection-1098. He is serving on different statutory bodies in the university and government committees and boards. He has successfully coordinated UGC-refresher courses, ICSSR Training Programmes. He has successfully completed UGC’s Minor and ICSSR’s Major research projects and was able to associate with different government/non-government agencies like NEERI, UNICEF, Government of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh etc as a Principal Investigator. He is associated with Professional bodies such as Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators, MASWE and National Association of Professional Social workers in India, NAPSWI as its Executive Member and has also served as India’s representative of the Asian Pacific Association of Social Work Education, APASWE. He has convened many national and international conferences. Presented research papers in national and international conferences and published papers in UGC listed and refereed journals. He has written 8 modules for UGC, E-PG Pathshala under paper Social Work with Children & Child Protection and Community Development. His areas of interest are child protection, displaced tribals, rural youth. He has received Best Teacher and Best NSS Programme Officer awards at University and State level. He is also the recipient of Maharashtra State “Best NSS Programme Coordinator Appreciation Certificate Award for 2019-20”. Presently he is engaged as Principal Investigator in TRI, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI sponsored major research on ST & Other Traditional Dwellers in Protected Areas: Study of Their Rights, Issues and Challenges. He has visited Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, London, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Nepal for participation in the conferences.
Dr (Ms) Jyoti Niswade, Associate Professor at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work since 2000. Dr Niswade graduated with a B.Sc (Biochemistry) degree. Alumna of the Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, having done her Master’s Degree in Social Work with Merit rank from RTM Nagpur University and NET, from UGC, New Delhi. She has been awarded PhD and she is recognised PhD supervisor with RTM Nagpur University. She has started her career working with National Environmental Engineering Research Institute at Nagpur. Later, Dr Niswade joined the Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work in 2000. She functioned as the Co-ordinator of IQAC, NAAC during 2004-2009 and functioning as the Hon. Director of Family Counseliling Centre. Dr Niswade is closely associated with a few voluntary organizations. She is resource person at national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes and refresher courses conducted across the country. Therein she has presented research papers that are published in UGC listed and refereed journals. She has authored book titled “Widows in India: Social, Economic and Policy Implications” and Edited Book titled, “Karmayogini – Dr Satyabala Tayal”. Dr Niswade is the recipient of Best Research Paper Presentation Award at International Conference held in 2015 at Colombo, Sri Lanka and recipient of 2016 Outstanding Author Contribution Award by Emerald Literati Network for the chapter in book published by Emerald Books, US. She is also the Scholar Reviewer (Member of review committee) of SOSHUM: International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Published by Politeknik Negeri Bali, Indonesia. She is associated with professional bodies such as the Founder Member of World Centre for Womens’ Studies (WCWS) and member, Indian Association of Women’s Studies (IAWS). She functioned as the Expert member (Social analyst) of study group for Government of Maharashtra. Presently she is working on research project sponsored by Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.
An alumna of Hislop College, Nagpur, Dr. Nandita Mane completed her graduation in the faculty of Arts in 1998. She did her B.Ed (2000) and MA (English) (2001) from RTM Nagpur University. She has passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) in English conducted by the Maharashtra State (2002). She also did a Short Term Course on Literary Theories: Theories of Reading and Writing organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Dr. Mane pursued her doctoral thesis on A Study of Traditional and Innovative elements in the plays of Sir Alan Ayckbourn and was awarded the degree in 2015.
Dr. Mane joined the Institute in 2006. She is the course coordinator for Certificate Course in Communicative English at the MSSISW. She also looks after the activities of the Language Room of the Institute. She is an Examiner for Communication Skills and Personality Development of RTMNU’s Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension. She is associated with Shakespeare Society of Central India and Centre for Literary Interaction and Creativity (CLIC). She heads the field action project of the Institute called Community Action for Environment (CAFE).

Supervisor in RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur and Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur. Awarded 7 students Ph. D. degree under his supervision. Completed one UGC Minor Research project. He has attended One month training programme at SAARC Documentation Center, New Delhi on Information Technology for Information Management (2010). Attended and published several papers in International and National Seminars, Conferences and Journals and has more than 85 papers to his credit. He has edited one book. He is Life member of ILA, IATLIS, SALIS and LISSA, RTMNU. Recipient of Best Employee Award by Matru Sewa Sangh Sitabuldi, Nagpur.
Dr Saroj Kolhe is Science Graduate from Mumbai University, MA in Social Work and Certificate in Research methodology from TISS. She is the recipient of the Firoze A Minocher-Homji prize for the best student in Social Welfare Administration. She has done M. Phil in Social Work from Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Nagpur, Recently she has been awarded PhD in Social work by SP Pune University. She is associated with the Institute since 1991 as M.Phil Coordinator. She was team member in assessment of after care homes, and review and mapping of child care institutions, in Vidarbha Region. She is associated with various voluntary organizations in different capacities
Amen Xavier Kaushal holds MSW degree from University of Pune and currently has submitted his PhD Thesis and is waiting for the Award from RTMNU, Maharashtra. He has cleared UGC NET. He received his Masters degree in Human Rights from University of Sussex, England with the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Programme. Apart from his main stream studies, he has also completed various diplomas and certificates in community mental health, clinical psychology, Addiction management, participatory research, ecology and environment. He is Guest Faculty at the Institution, teaching MSW and BSW students since 2014. Currently he holds the position of Research Associate for the project sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) at the Institution. Prior to his academic engagement he extensively worked for eight years with various civil society organizations in different capacities. His work experience includes accompanying grass root organization in movement building through right based approach, project planning, monitoring and evaluation, social impact assessment (SIA), process oriented capacity building and participatory research. Presently he is also an accredited Social Impact Assessment specialist extending his consultancy in the social Impact assessment field. Amen is committed towards integrating his field based experience in to social work education and promotes participatory learning processes among the students.
Dr Payal Chamatkar has done her BSW, MSW with specialisation in URTCD, MPhil in Social Work and PhD. She has cleared her UGC NET. She is an alumna of the Institute and working as a Contributory teacher since 2012. She has worked as Assistant Professor in Post Graduate Department for the session 2019-20. She has worked with various organizations in different capacities like coordinator, consulting social worker, project manager etc. She is legal professional Counsellor. She was awarded with Best Employee by the Matru Sewa Sangh for 2017-18. Dr Payal has Published Eleven Research Papers in refereed journals and articles at national level. Dr Payal was the Convener of Interdisciplinary International Seminar.
Ms. Poonam Nimje is a graduate and post-graduate in social work with Medical and Psychiatric Social Work specialization from Tirpude College of Social Work, Nagpur (RTMNU, Nagpur). Additionally she has completed her post-graduation in Masters of Arts (Clinical Psychology). She has qualified SET in Social Work. She is pursuing her doctoral research from RTMNU, Nagpur. She is serving at MSSISW as a Contributory Teacher since 2016. She has presented papers in national Conferences.
Ms Neeta G Jagtap is Bachelor in Microbiology and Masters in Social work with specialization in ‘Medical and Psychiatric Social work’ from Shivaji University Kolhapur. She is working as Contributory Teacher in MSS Institute of Social Work College since 2019. She is UGC-NET and she has done her Post Graduate Diploma in ‘Therapeutic Counseling’ from College of Social Work at Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai. She is pursuing ‘Diploma in Nutrition and Health’ from IGNOU. Before joining Institute she was associated with Balsadan- Orphanage in Pune, Sampark-NGO in Mumbai and MDACS (Mumbai District AIDS Control Society) in different capacities. Her area of interest includes women and Child health and mental health.

Mr. Baba Meshram is BSW, MSW (LWPM), MPhil in Social Work, MA in Pub. Admn. and Ambedkar Thoughts from RTM Nagpur University. He has cleared UGC-NET. He was associated with various Government and voluntary agencies like Zilla Parishad, Mayo/ Daga Hospital, MGNERGA (Block Samiti) in different capacities. Mrs. Swapna Wadyalkar is B.Sc. in Environmental Science, MSW and MPhil in Social Work from RTM Nagpur University. She has 6 years of experience as a teacher and counsellor in the field of child guidance and counselling in schools and communities. She was associated with Lokmat in their online counselling project “ Yeshogatha Parikshechi” for 10th & 12th appearing students. She has participated in different State and National level seminars. She has done her B.Ed from S.N.D.T, Women University, Mumbai. Mr Gautam Patil, is BSW and MSW (MPSW) from RTM Nagpur University. He has qualified UGC-NET. He has done Master of Population Studies (M.P.S.) from IIPS Mumbai. He has done M.Phil. in Social Work and Currently pursuing Ph.D. from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai. Ms. Premlata Patil is working as a Counsellor since 2011. She is Master in Social Work. Before joining this Institute she has worked with Indian Institute of Youth Welfare, Jeevan Jyoti Shikshan Sanstha, Prevention and Control on HIV AIDS among non- brothel in rural project. Legal, GFATM (TISS) etc. She was Member of Women's Social Committee under the Social Security Wing of the Police Department (2015-18) and Member of Advisory Committee under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (2013-14). She is also Guest Faculty at Institute. She is the recipient of “Best Employee Award” from the Matru Seva Sangh.
Ms. Vaishali Jambhulkar is working as Counsellor since 2018. Ms Vaishali is an alumna of the Institute and completed her MSW in 1997. Earlier she has worked as a District Co-ordinator in Polio Eradication Project at “Vishwodaya”, Wardha, as a counsellor in ‘Women and Families in Distress” and as a community organiser in Jalswaraj Project.
Ms. Smita Thawkar (Premkhede) is Post Graduate in Library and Information Science and Sociology from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. She has also secured Certificates in typing. She is working with the Institute since 2003, as an Library Assistant and Clerk in Family Counseling Center since 2015.
Ms. Shraddha A. Talloo, is Post Graduate in Social work (MSW) from Nagpur (RTMNU) University. She has done Master of Commerce (M. Com) and B.Ed. with specialisation in Commerce and Economics. Worked with Bhonsala Military School as economics teacher from 2012 to 2015, then join Dhanwate National College from 2016 to 2019 as a Assistance Professor in Economics on Ad-Hoc basis. She joined Matru Sea Sangh Institute of Social Work as a City Coordinator at Nagpur CHILDLINE – Nodal from January 2021.
